This new information about Lynx new Gas Clutch Heavy Duty was shared by carey shurley:
Lynx has released an upgraded version of their Gas clutch for the Helibug Trex 600/700 Conversions.
Luca Invernizzi of Lynx told me that this is based on design changes suggested by Ali Azhar of Helibug. You may know that Helibug makes extensive use of Trex 700 class clutches in their conversions and this new Lynx will work perfectly in them
Here’s the top view of the new clutch designated the LX0135-B
And here’s the bottom view. The machining quality and finish is very nice
Here you can see the previous version of the Lynx gas clutch and the latest version
Specifically the differences are its approximately .2mm larger in diameter and the outer hinge points are smaller. Its also heavier as you’ll see next
it has the exact same thickness as all of the Trex 700 clutch options and the same ribbed surface as the previous Lynx version.
And here is a comparison of the clutchs that can be used on the Helibug conversions
- the clutch on the left is a stock Align 700 clutch.
- the second clutch from the left is the Quick UK clutch
- the third clutch from the left is the original Lynx gas clutch
- and the fourth clutch is the new Lynx LX0135-B
It has the largest diameter of the four at 48.73 mm and the heaviest at 96.5 gms. You won’t need to use the thicker “gas” liners with this clutch but the newer white colored liner found in the latest Trex clutches will engage better as its a slightly softer material
Although this is designated for use in the gas conversions, it could be used on the nitro versions as well
